Tralee Council have taken the active lead in making a difference by reducing power usage by installing a combination of LED street and flood lights into the prestigious Tralee Square and Abbey Court.
The aim is to reduce the power consumption by 67% and save 8,541kg of CO2 per year on the square alone.
Initial results are showing a 55% saving without comparing all of the existing light with the new lights as they were on a separate circuit.
The CCTV footage of the square before and after were examined by the Gardi to ensure that the light was increased to help identify and enhance theCCTV performance.![The Square, Tralee, Co.
