PROJECT: Installation of Low Energy Designs SunBURST™ 88Watt and SunFIRE™ 77Watt to replace 400 Watt Metal Halide Floodlights & 70 Watt SON Streetlights for Tralee Town Council.
The expectations of the project for Tralee Town Council and the ESB (Electricity Supply Board) were to deploy a public area LED lighting solution that would fulfil the following criteria:
- To provide comparable or better lighting levels within the selected area
- To provide consistent and evenly distributed light within the selected area
- To provide dramatic savings in power consumption and maintenance costs
- To provide an ability to customize
CUSTOMER BENEFITS:
The independent evaluation provided the following results:
- Reduced initial capital outlay by 2 luminaries from the original installation.
- Increased luminance minimum average light level by 1.8 lux.
- Provided an overall saving of 68.1%, excludes the % savings from the maintenance.
