SunFIRE™ is a resilient LED light, designed
for “fit and forget” (FAF) applications and
minimising or negating continuous, ongoing
maintenance. SunFIRE™ is available in a
variety of high flux LED power outputs
ranging between 6w – 118watts. Utilising an
advanced angled design and high flux LEDs
the
SunFIRE™ provides up to 93% more light
capacity than the traditional lights
requiring a higher power input
SunFIRE™ lights lend themselves to running
independently from the power grid as they
can be powered by solar / small wind
turbines or any combination. Due to the
technical intelligence of the light additional power
savings can be achieved with the inbuilt
light sensor allowing for automatic increase or
decreasing of the light output power depending
on the ambient light level, additional
savings can be made by achieved by scheduling various
power reductions during the night by
programming power reduction as required.
The colour rendition of SunFIRE™
achieves extremely high light output lux
levels with a low input power. This allows a
solar solution to be offered utilising much
smaller solar panels and back up batteries
than with traditional lighting thus reducing
the cost. Additional savings are made
because the SunFIRE™ has dynamic power control.
SunFIRE™ will automatically modulate it’s
light output in response to the ambient
light level which can help to save a further
10 – 15% by only providing the necessary
light required at the right time, further
savings can be achieved by setting the
scheduling to dim the light at times of low
vehicle or pedestrian traffic at night which
could add a further 20% saving. By
gradually increasing the light output
depending on the ambient light level
additionally allows drivers and people to
adjust their eyes to the darkness as well.
Unlike traditional sodium lights which have
a very high initial power demand at switch
on, SunFIRE™ employs a soft-start feature.
SunFIRE’s™ initial start up current is only
25% of the total running power, thereby
helping to reduce installation costs by
reducing cable and circuit breaker size
requirements when used in a mains power
application.
