Project: To create a better workplace for employees in the offices by installing invigorating LED lighting

The Brief -

AcadeMedia is Northern Europe's largest education training company. They own and operate a number of different brands and schools in Sweden and now also in Germany. At the head office in Stockholm, they wanted to renew the lighting in the entrance, cafe and reception area. They also wanted to use these spaces as a display in order to show the Organisation's school leaders what is possible with LED.

The former lighting consisted of fluorescent luminaires with 3 or 4 fluorescent lamps at 18 watts each, which were recessed in the ceiling as well as some downlights CFL lights at 36 watts.

The Solution -

The LED solution that provided the best results for AcadeMedia was the Sky Panel 66 CTC. This LED panel is an extremely thin LED luminaire that fits in the ceiling. This luminaire provides the ability to change the colour temperature between 3000-5700 kelvins through wireless or DALI control. In this case, AcadeMedia chose to wirelessly control the lights with a remote control that is managed from the reception.

The fittings were grouped into three groups; Cafe, cloakroom and reception desk. Colour temperature and brightness is regulated separately in these three groups.
