Project: To achieve a better working environment in offices and reception

The Brief -

Värmdö Gummiservice in Värmdö, outside Stockholm, conducts sales of products and services for the automotive and construction machinery. They wanted new lighting to achieve a better working environment in the offices and reception area.

The Solution -

The choice of lighting solution fell on our Skylight 66 ELP running at 34 watts providing a daylight white light (5000 K). The LED luminaires in the store, reception and the offices are connected to our combined light and motion sensor to maximise energy savings. This means that the lights in these areas will dim based on the ambient (natural) daylight and will increase the light output when motion is detected in the premises.

In the corridor, a motion sensor was used which has the ability to reduce the light output to a low level when nobody is there. The advantage of this is that the amount of wasted light and energy is reduced when no one is around but the lights never turn off completely, which creates a safer environment whilst still achieving energy savings.
