Project: To install an energy efficient light with a high degree of protection

The Brief -

Masmästaren is Dalarna's largest private landlord and owns 1708 residential apartments and 436 premises, a total of about 248,000 sqm in mainly Falun and Borlänge, but also has stocks in Västerås and Uppsala. In the Brage garage in Borlänge, the old lighting consisted of partially broken fluorescent light fixtures with 2 × 36 watt lamps. The key requirement features of a new luminaire were a higher energy efficient luminaire with smart functions and a high enclosure class to avoid contaminated light sources and reduced light output.

The Solution -

In the garage we recommended to use our smart LED LumiROD 414. A daylight white variant with 5300 Kelvin in colour temperature was chosen to increase the visibility of the garage. The luminaire is also fully dimmable between 0-100% and has been equipped with a built-in light and motion sensor. This solution dims down the lights throughout the entire garage to a lower level when motion is undetected, meaning no one is in the garage. Motion detection, dimming levels and modes are fully configurable and are easily changed with a remote control without having to open up or dismantle the luminaire.

The LumiROD 414 has a high protection rating (IP66) with a smooth top which therefore lends itself well to parking garages or other dirty environments. This means that the luminaire shines longer and clearer with less maintenance requirements. The luminaire also has a significantly better light distribution and a higher luminous flux than traditional fluorescent light fittings.
