Project: To install LED lighting that highlights all the merchandise inside the shop

The Brief -

The Swedish Transport Administration are working ambitiously to improve the Swedish environment and are constantly evaluating new technologies. On the road 226, STA wanted to evaluate LED lighting at an ME3-class. The requirements for the Swedish Transport Administration include reduced energy consumption and reduced maintenance costs which LED-based luminaires can meet.

The Solution -

The Swedish Transport Administration replaced 250 watt Metal Halides for our Phoenix 9’s in an intersection outside Stockholm, on the road 226 in southern Stockholm. The luminaires were installed on 10m high poles 40m apart. The luminaires provide a colour temperature of 5000K and are armed with optics for uniform distribution.

Based on an average 13 hours per light per day:
Metal Halides - 3.731 kWatts per day
Phoenix 9 - 0.910 kWatts per day

Based on year:
Metal Halides - 1361.81 kWatts
Phoenix 9 - 332.15 kWatts
CO2 savings = 0.489 tons

Phoenix has been replaced by the Norrsken Range.
