Project: To improve the joint Tennis & Basketball court by installing LED lighting that provides a uniform light output whilst minimising light pollution.

The Brief -

The people of Orebro in Sweden required better lighting on their joint Tennis & Basketball court so they could improve opportunities for play and recreation. They required lighting that would reduce operation and maintenance costs whilst minimising light pollution.

The Solution -

To meet the requirements of better lighting on the tennis courts, the choice fell onto our SunBURST 8 LED. The SunBURST 8 is a cost effective product thanks to its low power consumption of 88Watts. It provides a crisp, clear day white lighting (5000K) to enhance the playing experience and gain the best visibility.

We utilised optical reflectors on the LEDs to focus the light onto the playing court. This optical solution suits the clients needs perfectly as there is minimal light pollution effecting the residential area and maximum lighting on the court.

At full power (88watts) for 6 hours a day on average in a year, the new LED lighting will cost £60.76/per year.
