Project: To replace the lighting with an energy efficient

The Brief -

ICA's central warehouses in Hacksta, Vasteras deliver goods to distribution centres across Sweden. At the central warehouse there is a run area where trucks arrive at the loading bays for loading and unloading. There are also large staff car parks.

The old lighting consisted of a mixture of outdoor mercury and sodium lamps. These relatively old fixtures cost a lot of money in energy consumption and maintenance. ICA wanted an energy efficient lighting solution at the central warehouse, with minimal maintenance needs.

The Solution -

In order to meet the requirements for energy-efficient lighting we chose together with ICA to replace the 3 x 1000 watt lamps, which were mounted on masts at 20 metres above sea level, with our SunBURST 8 ULTRA LED. We optimised the SunBURST 8 ULTRA's with optics that diffuses the light evenly across the car park. This has given a more even lighting than the previous lighting solution. We also installed our Phoenix 9 LED product 2 meters above the loading bays. To increase the visibility and security a daylight white version with a colour temperature of 5000 Kelvin was chosen.

The SunBURST and Phoenix have been replaced by the SunSHINE and Norrsken.
