Project: To upgrade ICA’s personal car park lighting

The Brief -

ICA Fastigheter is responsible for distribution centres and central warehouses in Sweden. Last year ICA decided they wanted to switch to LED technology to reduce operational costs and to help reduce their Carbon Footprint. They rolled out our LED products throughout their distribution centre and outside in the cargo area. This time they required outdoor, low energy lighting for their personal car park. The old lighting consisted of 31 x Mercury lights running at 125 watts each.

The Solution -

To meet ICA’s requirements we replaced the Mercury fittings with 31 x Phoenix 3 running at 33watts each. 12 of the Phoenix 3′s that are situated in the middle of the car park have PIR’s installed for extra savings. When there are low periods of traffic the luminaire will automatically reduce down to 50% of it’s original light output. When motion is detected the luminaire will increase the light output to full power, the luminaires will stay at full power for 10 minutes and reduce after if no motion is detected.

The Phoenix has been replaced by the Norrsken.
