Project: To reduce environmental impact

The Brief -

Jaguar and Land Rover in Gothenburg is a newly built and well-designed car hall showing new models of high-quality cars. The facility also has a service workshop and a spare shop. Hedin Bil owns and operates the business. Hedin Bil aims to reduce the impact on the environment as far as it is justified, technically feasible and economically reasonable in all its operations.

The Solution -

The LumiOPTIMA 5218 was chosen to replace the lighting in the workshop area. This LED luminaire produces a daylight-like light of 5500 Kelvin and has a luminous flux of 26,000 lumens. A real daylight machine.

The daylight-white light is invigorating and increases the concentration of those working in the service workshop. The luminaires feature a prism lens that minimizes glare but provides significantly better light propagation than traditional fluorescent luminaires. With an energy efficiency of over 150 lumens per watt, it's top in terms of energy efficiency.

In other areas, luminaires were chosen with the same daylight white colour temperature of 5500 Kelvin in order to create a good working environment. In the conference room and kitchen, luminaires were chosen where the colour temperature can easily be changed with a wireless remote control. This allows the light to be optimized for various activities such as, invigorating 5500 Kelvin daylight at lunchtime and a cosy, warmer 3000 Kelvin for the evenings.
