Project: To install an energy efficient product which would improve their current light levels and reduce maintenance and running costs.

The Brief -

After seeing one of our email campaigns, Hartford Tennis Club in Cheshire contacted us to switch their lighting to LED. The club required an energy efficient product which would improve their current light levels and reduce maintenance and running costs.

The Solution -

Hartford Tennis Club have 6 outdoor tennis courts which were lit using the traditional green box with a 1kw bulb. Fitting tennis court floodlights can be costly and intrusive but after preparing multiple lighting designs, the best solution to meet the clubs needs was to retrofit our SunSHINE LED into the existing green housing, helping to reduce the overall cost of the LED lights.

For this project, we used our FS lens. Specifically designed for sports applications, this lens allows the LED light to be installed perpendicular to the ground which has massive benefits in sports applications such as, reducing glare, providing excellent visual comfort for players and an even light distribution.

By installing LED lights we have met Hartford's requirements and also provided the club with light levels that meet the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) criteria.
