Project: To install LED lighting

The Brief -

Balder and its subsidiary Tulija owns and manages properties throughout Sweden. Underneath this property there is a parking garage where the existing light fittings need to be replaced due to the constant breakage. The existing lighting consisted of conventional luminaires armed with two 36-watt fluorescent tubes. They wanted to look at options to replace the old fittings with LED lighting.

The Solution -

The choice fell onto the LumiROD 416 a non-corrosive product with an IP rating of 66. With a low power consumption of 36 watts, we managed to reduce the energy consumption and the number of lights by half. The LumiROD 416 has a built in motion sensor which increases the light output on all fixtures from 25% power to 100% power for three minutes when motion is detected. Due to occupancy rates in the garage’s being low, high savings are achieved without compromising on safety.
