The Brief -

Kloeckner Metals are continuously exploring possibilities of using renewable energies to help contribute to environmental protection. Kloeckner UK have already taken their first steps in this direction and have covered 80% of its electricity demand from renewable energy sources.

The Solution -

To help Kloeckner in Durham reach their environmental targets, we replaced their existing 400w high bays with our LED LumiMOD 4. The LumiMOD 4 runs just below 240 watts and produces approx. 163 lumens per watt. Providing a consistent high light output and combining our intelligent controls makes this a cost effective product for High Bay applications.

We've programmed the LumiMOD's to turn on at 84% power. After 20 minutes, if motion hasn't been detected the lights will fade to 20% for another 10 minutes before switching off completely. Once motion is detected the lights will come back on and reach 84% power. These intelligent controls will increase Kloeckner's energy savings further in periods of low foot-fall!
