The Brief -

Electrolux is a global leader in household appliances and offer innovative and sustainable solutions for household and professional use with products such as refrigerators and freezers, stoves, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners etc. With brands such as Electrolux, AEG, Zanussi, Frigidaire and Electrolux Grand Cuisine, Electrolux sells annually 60 million products in about 150 countries. In 2016, Electrolux had sales of over £10,800,000,000 and had 55,000 employees. Electrolux headquarters are in Stockholm and the company began operations in 1919.

At their headquarters, Electrolux have built new conference rooms and wanted to install energy-efficient LED lighting in the form of downlights. Another requirement was adjustable brightness.

The Solution -

The new lighting selected for the new Electrolux conference rooms was our intelligent colour changing downlight. The Glow 225 CTC is an extremely energy-efficient LED light providing 120 lumens / watt. This luminaire is a flexible and simple solution and can be recessed directly in the ceiling tiles. This fixture also has the added benefit of being able to adjust the colour temperature from 3000-5700 Kelvin, that is, from warm white to daylight white light, by using Wireless or DALI control. In this installation Electrolux are able to wirelessly control the light from a remote control from ground level.

The advantage of this solution is that during the meeting, you can adjust the light intensity or change the colour temperature from warm white to an exhilarating daylight white light without having to constantly get up and regulate a wall-mounted switch which disrupts the meeting. The luminaires are grouped together in groups per room and where they are easily controlled from the remote control. The customer chose to have a remote control per room.
