Project: To install an energy efficient light with a high degree of protection

The Brief -

In a parking garage in Sollentuna, the old lighting consisted of 178 x fluorescent lamps with 2 × 36 watts of light sources. Important requirements of a new solution included, energy-efficiency, smart functions and a high degree of protection. Castellum wants to create long-term solutions from economic, ecological and social perspectives. As a long-term player and community builder, it is a matter of importance to contribute to the development of a sustainable society.

The Solution -

Working with Castellum, we chose to replace the existing fluorescent lamps with our LumiROD 414 luminaire. This luminaire is a "light machine" with an energy efficiency of 170 lumens per watt. A daylight white variant with 5300 Kelvin in colour temperature was chosen to increase the visibility and the perceived safety of the garage. The luminaire is also fully dimmable between 0-100%. These luminaires were equipped with a built-in light and motion sensor. This sensor dims the entire garage to a lower light level at a time when no one is around and increases when motion is detected. Dimming functions are fully configurable and can easily be changed with a remote control.

The LumiROD 414 has a high degree of protection (IP66) with a smooth rounded top which is well suited for parking garages or other dirty environments.
