Project: To install a energy efficient LED lighting solution using as few luminaires as possible.

The Brief -

When the property owner Kungsleden had to replace the lighting in their parking garage on Svärdvägen in Danderyd, they required an energy efficient and smart LED lighting solution using as few luminaires as possible without compromising on the quality of light. Kungsleden has set a long-term goal of reducing energy consumption by 20 percent by 2020. Choosing the most energy efficient Smart LED solution they can find is a step towards the target.

The Solution -

In this parking garage, we chose to use our LumiROD 414. This luminaire has a high ingress protection of 66 and provides 167 lumens per watt. A daylight white variant of 5,300 Kelvin in colour temperature was chosen to increase the visibility in the garage and create a fresher environment.

We also integrated a built-in microwave sensor within the luminaires which were configured to use 10 percent power (about 3 watts) in safe mode (no motion detected). Once motion is detected, they increase to full power for ten minutes. Motion sensor settings can be easily changed after installation with a simple remote control.
