Project: To install a new lighting solution that is robust and low in energy.

The Brief -

Green Park want to create greener and more environmentally friendly facilities in their indoor parking garages. Now Vanadisgaraget in central Stockholm has become the next target to switch the lighting to energy efficient lighting. The parking garage consisted of old fluorescent fixtures with 2 × 36 watt light bulbs that were partially torn and soiled. In addition to Green Parks greener requirements the new luminaires had to be robust and provide a high degree of protection to avoid contaminated sources with minimal maintenance.

The Solution -

In Vanadisgaraget in central Stockholm, we chose to use our LumiROD 414. This fixture is an LED light with over 140 lumens per watt. A variant with daylight 5300 Kelvin color temperature was chosen in order to increase visibility in the garage.

The LumiROD 414 is also fully dimmable from 0-100%. The luminaire can be equipped with built-in light and motion sensor or it can be controlled / dimmable with DALI or 10VDC motion sensors. The luminaire is connected in this garage to the existing control system with DALI control. This system dims the entire garage to a lower light level when there is no movement in the garage. When motion is detected the luminaires light up to 36 watts (full power).

The LumiROD 414 has a high degree of protection (IP66) with a smooth top side which is therefore well suited for parking garages or other dirty areas. This means that the luminaire shines longer and brighter with less maintenance requirements. The fixture also has a much better light distribution and higher light output than traditional fluorescent fixtures.
