Project: To install a reliable and effective LED lighting solution

PRODUCTS USED:

The Brief -

Harrods Aviation, a leading provider of aviation services, sought to address the recurring issues of failing LED lights at their facility in Luton. After a successful collaboration with Low Energy Designs on a previous project in Stansted, Harrods Aviation recognized the potential of Low Energy Designs LED solutions to improve energy efficiency and reliability at their Luton site.

The existing lighting system at Harrods Aviation's Luton facility consisted of Kellwood's 240w LED high bay lights. However, these lights were experiencing frequent failures, making it challenging for Harrods Aviation to effectively repair and replace them. This situation not only resulted in compromised lighting performance but also increased maintenance costs and operational disruptions.

The Solution -

Low Energy Designs developed a customised LED lighting solution for Harrods Aviation's hangars. The solution incorporated high-quality LED SunSHINE high bays, incorporating intelligent sensors from Hytronik, designed to withstand the demanding conditions of the aviation environment.

The installation process was carefully planned and executed over 7 days to minimise disruptions to Harrods Aviation's operations. The implementation of Low Energy Designs' LED solutions significantly improved the lighting performance in Harrods Aviation's hangars. The high-quality LED SunSHINE’s delivered brighter and more uniform lighting, enhancing visibility and creating a safer working environment.

Having used Low Energy Designs previously we knew of the quality of fittings and detail input in order to provide us with a lighting system to meet our needs.”
