Project: To bring production costs down by replacing the existing lighting to efficient LED Lighting
PRODUCTS USED:
The Brief -
Marel, a leading global provider of advanced equipment and systems for the food processing industry have been looking for ways in which their company can become more sustainable. They decided to make a switch to energy efficient LED lighting.
The Solution -
The old lighting consisted of Metal Halides which were running at 500 watts each! The new choice fell onto our LumiOPTIMA which runs at 150 watts and provides a daylight white light. This luminaire comes standard with a built-in light and motion sensor. In this case the luminaire will dim to 25% of the original light output after 30 minutes if no motion is detected. The luminaire will also alter the light output according to the ambient light levels, maximising savings further.
“When I was approached by Low Energy Designs to quote for full spectrum, LED lighting that would double the current light intensity within our production area use less electricity and carry a 5 year guarantee with an expected lamp life of ten years I jumped at the chance.”
