Project: To provide LTA criteria LED lighting

The Brief -

Home to some of the best sports facilities in the southwest, the West Hants Club provide the opportunity for you to enjoy the best in sports, fitness and relaxation. For this project, Low Energy Designs (LEDUK) were tasked with providing LTA criteria LED lighting to replace 128 x 240w fluorescent strip lights inside the Tennis hall.

The Solution -

In order to meet the requirements LEDUK proposed their popular sports light, the SunSHINE. Using a combination of their newest FS lens designed for sports applications and 30 degree lens will help direct the light to the immediate playing areas. These lenses help provide an even light distribution across the courts as well as reducing glare, providing excellent visual comfort for players.

The SunSHINE lights have been paired with an intelligent control system which can adjust the light settings through an app on a mobile phone. This intelligent system provides the ability to control and set daylight harvesting light levels, movement control times and distances and allows the club to change lighting levels according to the level of play, from tournament to practise and in-between.

Thanks to the new LED lighting, The West Hants Club have reduced operational and maintenance costs, increased light levels whilst reducing the light count and are now one step closer to becoming net-zero by reducing their Carbon Emissions by 76%.
