The Brief -
Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre, one of North Wales’ premier tennis facilities, found itself stuck in the dark ages, with an out dated fluorescent lighting system running across courts. Not only were fittings beginning to fail, but the quality of lighting was falling far short of modern playing standards.
With the Lexus Wrexham Open—the biggest tennis tournament ever held in North Wales on the horizon, Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre needed a lighting upgrade that could deliver tournament-grade performance while slashing energy costs. The solution had to balance elite standards with long-term sustainability.
The Solution -
We installed LumiMOD 4 LED lights, delivering 1000 lux at 240W, improving visibility and performance instantly. We integrated Bluetooth sensors from Hytronik which allow lighting scene selection via iPad.

“Met and exceeded all my expectations from initial enquiry though to successful installation.”
The courts lighting can also be controlled individually using the ‘Zone’ section of the app, with power adjustable from 0 to 100%. Whether it’s a high-stakes match or a quiet coaching session, lighting levels can be adjusted instantly.
Thanks to support from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fun, with additional support from Sport Wales, Wrexham Council and the Welsh Government, the club was able to bring the lighting up to ITF international tennis standards. The full upgrade was carried out smoothly over just two weeks, with zero disruption to play.
By switching to our LumiMOD 4, Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre didn’t just light up the courts—they raised their game. The new system hits the sweet spot between performance, efficiency, and futureproof smart tech. Whether it’s a tournament or a training session, Wrexham is now illuminated for success.
